The Government
Information Center [GIC] of Sri Lanka makes it that much easier for
you to seek and request information on all essential citizen-centric
government services. The trilingual call centre is the single point
of contact for information and guidance for all citizen services in
the government and is now available to the public. The GIC is also
known as "1-9-1-9”: its mission being to provide access to citizen
services information with the highest possible levels of customer
service. The "1-9-1-9" initiative, which is set up under the
Re-engineering Government Program of the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka
strives, to help with creating a people-friendly government while
utilizing the maximum strength of ICT for government activities.

8:00a.m.-8:00p.m. every single day of the year.
